6.5 million men. 1 conversation. Change the story.

Hair loss tends to gradually creep up. By the time most men act on it, they've been watching it happen for a while. The earlier you start, the more there is to work with. If you're noticing a difference, make a difference.

It's not just you

The sooner you start, the more you keep.

Officially known as androgenetic alopecia, male-pattern hair loss is the most common type. Hormonal, hereditary and progressive, you'll continue to lose hair if left untreated. Take action and it can be slowed, halted or (in some cases) partially reversed.

Treatment

One evidence-led option, reviewed against your assessment and prescribed only when a clinician decides it's right for you.

Finasteride

1 mg daily · the standard prescription

Finasteride treats male-pattern hair loss by reducing the hormone dihydrotestosterone (DHT) that causes the follicles to thin. Taken daily, it slows or halts further loss, and (in some cases) encourages new growth.

  • Targets the hormone DHT, which drives male-pattern hair loss
  • 1 mg daily tablet, taken consistently
  • You should start to see change around 3–6 months
  • Prescribed and reviewed by a UK-registered clinician

The science

How Finasteride protects your hair.

Male-pattern hair loss is caused by a hormone, not bad luck. Here's how.

What to expect

Real change takes time.

Be consistent, stick with it and here's what the first year looks like.

Getting started

You take your daily tablet and the routine settles in. There's nothing to see yet, but this stage is all about consistency, which is the single biggest predictor of results.

How hair-loss treatment works

Patience, and staying the course.

Starting a course of hair-loss treatment is a commitment. You'll be guided by your clinician. Consistency and patience do the rest.

  1. Timing

Starting early gives the medication the best conditions to work. If you're further down the line, it will still do its job. There's just more ground to cover.

  2. Consistency

Finasteride is a daily medication. Using the prescribed dose every day will give you the best outcome. The men who see the most benefit are those who build it into their routine.

  3. Patience

The medication gets to work before you'll notice it. Visible change typically happens around 3–6 months. That's not a long time for a medication that can hold onto years of hair.

In his words

He didn't wait. Curate prescribed.

I kept telling myself it wasn't that bad. The assessment was straightforward, the plan was clear, and so far I'm glad I started. Wish I'd done it sooner.
Daniel R.Hair Loss
No nonsense, no miracle promises. They were upfront that real change takes a few months. The honesty is what sold me.
Marcus L.Hair Loss
A real clinician actually reviewed everything and explained the side effects properly rather than glossing over them. Felt like proper care.

Does it actually work?

For most eligible men, yes, but it protects existing hair more reliably than it regrows lost hair, and results take three to six months. A clinician will tell you what's realistic for your stage of hair loss.

What about side effects?

Most men tolerate finasteride well. A small number report sexual side effects, which are usually reversible on stopping (SmPC). Your clinician reviews your history and explains the risks before prescribing, and you can raise anything any time.

How long until I see results?

Typically three to six months of consistent use, sometimes longer. You may notice some shedding early on as the cycle resets. That's normal, and your clinician will guide you through it.

What happens if I stop?

The hair these treatments protect will gradually return to its previous course over the following months. That's why we treat it as an ongoing plan, and your clinician will advise on stopping safely.

Is the medication genuine?

Yes. All treatment is genuine, regulated medication dispensed by a GPhC-registered pharmacy. Eligibility and suitability are decided by a UK-registered clinician.
